How many times have you woken up on the wrong side of the bed, short tempered and in a bad mood? Too many to count? There is a simple and healthy way to bust your bad mood before it busts you. Socializing! Research has shown that people who in engaging in a positive social event right after (or as soon after as possible) a negative event tend to lose their bad mood and are happier than those who “sit and stew” for a while. Happier people also tend to use socializing as a buffer against negative events no matter what the events are. Less happy people tend to use financial events as a buffer against negative events.

Those days when everything seems to be going wrong, may be the days you dread picking up the phone to plan a get together with friends, but the lesson here is, that  setting up a lunch or evening out with friends is precisely what you should do to mash your bad mood!
