With so many young startups forming (sometimes in a college dorm room) it’s great to be able to take some tips from a successful entrepreneur and implement them in your own life. These tips are the best advice Yosef Martin, found of fast-growing Merchandize Liquidators ever got:

  1. Create new opportunities. For a business to really succeed, you need to create something out of nothing. This does not necessarily mean you need to invent a new product (McDonald’s didn’t invent the hamburger); you might be implementing a solution that changes an industry.
  2. Learn to delegate. Your business is only as good as your employees. Yes, it’s a big challenge to delegate to and train employees properly, but it’s a short-term goal with endless rewards.
  3. Be willing to fail. Entrepreneurs are not very different from elite athletes. Can a gymnast avoid risks and still excel? Not a chance. The same is true in business: no guts, no glory. You don’t need to anticipate failure, but you shouldn’t fear it either.
