Some people think your credibility goes down if you admit you don’t know something. Oh contraire; admitting ignorance actually has the exact opposite effect. It actually makes everything else you say more credible because it marks you as a person who’s not afraid to speak the truth, even when that truth might reflect poorly on you.

People not only dis-like a know-it-all, people can often sense (our 6th sense perhaps) when someone is BS’ing them. And that, my friend, is the biggest way to lose credibility there is!
